Wiki work
  1. Create a RAFT writing prompt using all the elements of RAFT. Put the RAFT on your wikispace.
  2. Leave comments, thoughts, links, etc. on the Today's Meet Back channel
  3. Make an Animotomovie from your powerpoint. Change the format of your ppt. to jpg in a save as. Follow directions on how to make a 30 second movie. Embed your movie on your wikispace. ALSO EMBED YOUR VIDEO IN THE LARCSTARTALK11 WIKI ON THE PARTICIPANTS' WORK PAGE LINKED HERE
  4. Make a Wordle in English about what you learned this week-use key words and phrases such as LARC. STARTALK, standards, three modes and more words and phrases you learned this week. (when you repeat words or phrases it gets bigger on word cloud) Take a screen shot. Add to Desktop. Put the wordle jpg on your wikispace. Or You can embed it.
  5. Make a Tagxedo in your language about your unit theme and topic and save as jpg-add to wikispace
  6. Make a Voki Avatar. Speak using microphone or your phone. Speak clearly and loudly. Speak about 30-45 seconds about yourself in your language. Embed in your wikispace.

  1. Continue working on reading your chapters in UBD.
  2. Continue developing your lesson. Don't forget to include:
    1. teaching the new material (how will you do this? How many new words will you teach at once before students practice? etc.)
    2. design practice activities to help students learn the new material

We discussed the Cultures portion of the National Standards today. On your Wiki (or on paper), respond to the following:
  1. For the language that you teach, which aspect of the culture do you want to especially focus on with your students? Why? Consider the ages of your students.
  2. What new ideas did you learn about today?

Homework:
1. Continue reading you chapters in UBD.
2. Continue to develop your lesson. Remember to plan to teach small groups of new vocabulary and include many ways to repeat and practice.
